Part-Time QA Engineer, Flutter

Location: Remote
Type: Part-Time (15-20 hours / week)
Start Date: Flexible
Rate: $30-50 / hour (Negotiable based on experience)

We’re looking for a detail-oriented QA Engineer with strong automation skills and hands-on experience testing applications built in Flutter. You’ll help ensure our intelligent journaling assistant is seamless, reliable, and deeply intuitive. As we build tools to help users reflect and grow, we need someone who can spot subtle “friction points” and advocate for both technical excellence and end-user satisfaction.

As a core member of our product cycle, you’ll bridge the gap between complex AI engineering and real-world UX. We value team members who combine a hacker’s curiosity with deep empathy for users, ensuring every feature we ship meets our high standards for both reliability and impact.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the Testing Lifecycle: Design, implement, and maintain automated and manual test plans.
  • Regression & Release Management: Execute thorough regression testing before every deployment to ensure new features don’t disrupt UX.
  • Collaborate on Solutions: Work side-by-side with Engineers to reproduce edge cases and help design long-term fixes for recurring bugs.
  • QA Process Builder: Lead our transition from manual checks to scalable, automation-first testing processes as our team and product grow.

What We’re Looking For

  • Flutter Testing Expertise: Write widget tests, integration tests, and unit tests to ensure high app quality.
  • JavaScript Proficiency: Comfortable writing automated test scripts and running QA automation tasks.
  • Automation Experience: Proficient in building, maintaining, and executing automated tests for both JavaScript and Flutter applications.
  • Technical & Analytical Mindset: You get to the heart of bugs, identify root causes, and are proactive about regression prevention.
  • Bootstrap Mindset: You thrive in a lean environment where your expertise directly shapes the product and QA best practices.
